Watch Video: Duplicating Forms
There are four forms that every ecommerce website should have:
Home Page Form - Desktop
Home Page Form - Mobile
Product Page Form - Desktop
Product Page Form - Mobile
It all starts from getting the first form created for look, feel, questions, and data mapping.
We have an internal checklist that tells us all the things we need to make sure we have sorted for our form.
Integration with Klaviyo (we’ll map the fields automatically based on step naming)
Audience Assigned (we do this automatically)
Replace the Discount Code field with an existing one
Name all your steps individually (2-3 words - see placeholder examples in the template)
Ensure all the steps have different names
Review disclaimer language and insert links to Privacy Policy and Terms of Service on pages that collect either an email or a phone number and any relevant terms for your offers
Edit SMS collection language if necessary to include Company Name, Privacy Policy, and Terms of Service
You’ll only have to do this once to get everything setup.
Once you’re happy with how your form looks, we’ll use the duplicate function to create the other versions of the form super quick.
Go to the “Forms” menu tab
Click the down arrow next to the form we just created
Then click “Duplicate”
By default it will pull the latest version of the form, click “Continue”
Pick the Audience you want to target, remember we need to create 2 forms for Home Page and 2 forms for Product Page - it doesn’t matter what order we go in
In this example the form we’re duplicating is Home Page - Data - Email Only - Desktop so we’ll want to create a version for Mobile Devices
The form will automatically fill in the name based on what you selected, you can edit the name as you feel fit
You’ll get a completion screen and your new form will be duplicated
Your Klaviyo integration will be automatically on your new form, you’ll just need to publish it. You can double check by clicking the integrations button.
Repeat the above process for all recommended forms. All the triggering and targeting will be done automatically with url exclusions and timed triggers.
At the end you should have four published forms.
After you’ve disabled your current forms, just turn these on via the form screen.
